Juror 87

Grand jury proceedings are secret.

So is their relationship.

She is Juror 87, visibly distraught at hearing countless cases of felony drug use and domestic violence, stories that are painfully reminiscent of both her past and present. He is Juror 56, concerned at the sight of her struggle and determined to help her through it. In their short time together as grand jurors—temporarily sequestered from their normal lives and the rest of the world—they discover an undeniable connection drawing them together.

But their lives outside of the courthouse couldn’t keep them farther apart: She is sheltered by her boyfriend at his lavish estate, the facade of luxury masking what happens behind closed doors. He lives a modest life alone, living paycheck-to-paycheck in a small studio apartment. Each time they return to the courthouse for grand jury service, their divergent paths merge closer together.

They seek justice and love, neither of which will come easily.
